Mandatory Fees and Taxes

• Travelers who have visited Hubei Province within the last 14 days, or who have passports issued in Hubei Province, are forbidden from entering Japan effective from Feb 1.
• An accommodation tax is required in Kyoto from October, 2018. Guests (same price for adults and children) are required to pay JPY 200 per guest per night if the room rate per night is under JPY 20,000, JPY 500 per guest per night if the room rate per night is between JPY 20,000 and JPY 50,000, and JPY 1,000 per guest per night if the room rate per night is JPY 50,000 or greater. This surcharge is not included in the total rate for some rooms and shall be paid at the hotel. For details, please confirm with the hotel.
