Located in the Bessho Onsen Hot Springs area, Ryokan Tsuruya offers in-room meals, indoor and outdoor hot-spring baths and an on-site garden. Free Wi-Fi is provided throughout, including in the traditional Japanese-style rooms. Rooms have a tatami (woven-straw) floor, Japanese futon bedding and a low table with floor cushions. All rooms look out on forested mountains and include a seating area by the sliding paper screens. Some rooms have an en suite bathroom. Tsuruya Ryokan is a 2-minute drive from Bessho-Onsen Train Station, and a community bus can take guests from the station to the hotel from 14:00-17:30. A free return transfer can be arranged at check-in. The inn is 1 km from Joraku-ji Temple and 11 km from JR Ueda Train Station. A private hot-spring bath can be reserved free of charge.
