Miyajima Grand Hotel Arimoto is located on the island of Miyajima.
Variety of hotel rooms are available including special Sukiya-style room with outdoor cypress-wood private baths, sevral suite rooms, Japanese & Western hybrid rooms, and standard Japanese rooms. The "Kireisabi" room, our special Japanese Sukiya-style room, is charming with its beautiful simplicity and traditional tea-ceremony pavilion style of construction. With selected rooms offering outdoor cypress-wood baths and others providing views of Itsukushima Shrine or the primeval forest on Mount Misen, our Japanese style rooms (along with our Japanese/Western hybrid rooms) emphasize the feel of homely comfort.
Our skillful cooks serve Kaiseki cuisine (a traditional multi-course Japanese cuisine) that brings out the full flavor of each ingredient. Try our authentic Japanese cuisine for a truly memorable experience.
The hotel was called "Daikonya" and was founded in early Edo period, serving worshipers to the Itsukushima Shrine, the landmark of Miyajima, for more than 400 years. Itsukushima Shrine is registered as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1996. The hotel has lived the history of Miyajima, experiencing the flow of time eternal on the Miyajima Grand Hotel Arimoto has several facilities for use, including open-air hot spring bath, conference room which could acccomodate up to 100 people for wedding or coferences, banquet room which could accomodate up to 200 people with Japanese dinner, restaurants, Karaoke Box, bar.
